MORPHOLOGY AND CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF MINERALS INSIDE THE PHASE ASSEMBLAGE C - C2S - C4A3S - C4AF - CS RELEVANT TO SULPHOALUMINATE BELITE CEMENTS

J. Strigáč, M.T. Palou, J. Krištín, J. Majling

The paper deals with a formation of solid solutions inside the equilibrium phase assemblage C-C2S-C4A3S -C4AF-CS of the oxide system CaO-SiO2-Al2O3-Fe2O3-SO3. The content of minor oxides incorporated in individual phases was generally lower in comparison with data given in the literature. C2S and CS  phases form more homogeneous crystals with regard to their chemical composition than C4A3S  and the ferrite phase. From practical consideration the stoichiometry of the ferrite phase in the given phase assemblage can be appropriately represented by a composition corresponding to C6AF2.
