INFLUENCE OF THE SIZE AND DISTRIBUTION OF THE PORES ON THE PROPERTIES OF THE HIGH TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTORS Bi(Pb)–Sr–Ca–Cu–O

V. Bartůněk, O. Smrčková

The influence of the porosity of bulk high temperature superconductors Bi(Pb)–Sr–Ca–Cu–O on superconducting properties was investigated. Samples were prepared using the standard solid state reaction. The material having higher porosity was prepared by the addition of the noncalcined material into the samples before sintering. Low-porous sample was repeatedly sintered. It has been found that samples with bigger pores have lower critical current densities then samples having smaller pores. Critical temperatures of all samples were practically the same. In addition, the phase composition of the samples determined by XRD shows no fundamental differences.
