Model simuluje časový vývoj teplot mřížoví, stěn a proudících spalin a vzduchu v průběhu reverzačních period.

Balance equations of thermal processes in the regenerator are formulated including the walls (4)-(6), and the top and bottom hyperstructures (14-20), (24-30). Their numerical solution utilize the finite differences method and a couple block implicit technique consisting of ad system of 4 equations for the inner section (9) and a system of 7 equations for the hyperstructure (21, 31 ). In the construction of the model the temperature dependence of all the material quantities is considered Tables I - IV, Figs. 3 and 4. The local coefficients of heat transfer are calculated in detail for the checkerwork and comprise the convective αk (34) component and the radiation αz component (41). The model includes the criterion of attaining the quasistationary state ( 3), heat balance evaluation of the regenerator ( 47, 48) and determination of its efficiency (49, 50). The entire model has been elaborated in program form in the Fortran IV language with domands on the 25 kB main store. Numerical tests have proved a great stability and rate of convergence. An example of actual calculation of a full-scale regenerator is given (Figs. 5 and 6, Table V). The completeness of the model allows parametric studies of very general types to be carried out.
