The method of differential hydrothermal analysis (DHA) was used to determine the equilibrium temperature and reaction enthalpy of the reaction C₄ACH₁₁(s) = C₃AH₆(s) + CC(s) + 5H(l); Tr = (403 ± 2) K and Δr H° = (52.42 + 2.09) kJmole⁻¹. From these values, the standard enthalpy of formation for C₄ACH₁₁(s) Δf H° (298 K) = (-8204.0 ± 2.1) kJmole⁻¹, entropy S° (298 K) = 689.48 JK⁻¹mole⁻¹, and standard Gibbs' energy of formation Δf G° (298 K) = -7300 kJmole⁻¹, were calculated. Evidence for the reliability on the data measured was presented.
