The temperature dependence of the enthalpy increases was determined for crystalline Gd₂O₃. GeO₂ at temperatures between 1273 – 1873 K and at 298 K. Gadoliniuim oxyorthogermanate Gd₂O₃. GeO₂ was prepared by solid-state synthesis at 1673 K in a PtRh resistance furnace. On the basis of the measured temperature dependence ΔHc,T the isobaric temperature dependence of molar heats was established over the above temperature interval: Cp,c,T = 1.694 x 10-1 + 3.5890 x 10-5T [kJmol-1K-1]. A drop calorimeter was used for the measurements.
