The authors describe a method for computing the optimum addition of a liquid grinding aid for a given specific surface of cement clinker, the said addition being that at which the minimum amount of grinding energy is consumed. The computation was carried out on the basis of rules found by the authors and holding for the grinding of cement clinker with liquid grinding aids. A relationship expressing the dependence of the grinding energy, the concentration of the grinding aid and the specific surface of the ground substance was derived from the individual partial equations. The function has a minimum which the authors determined analytico-numerically for the specific surface range of 2 600 to 12,000 cm²/g by means of a computer. |
