A mathematical model was worked out of differential diathermic calorimeter, and simple and accurate processing of experimental data was suggested. The calorimeter, which was designed on the basis of the model, permits to determine the heats of irreversible reactions at up to 1350 °C. The accuracy of the calorimeter was verified by electric calibration and by measuring the heats of simple-alkali silicates. The reaction heats of three industrial glasses were measured.
