Partial pressures of sodium over the system Na₂O.2SiO₂ were measured in the temperature range of 1278-1553 °K by means of mass spectrometry. The change of enthalpy by evaporation was calculated from the established temperature dependence of the partial pressure of Na. The partial molar enthalpy of dissolution was calculated from the value obtained and literature data. The measured and calculated results were compared with literature data found by other methods. |
