The program for computing the composition of sample analysed by the electron microprobe was prepared in the Fortran 4 language and tuned off on the IBM 340/40 and the IGL 4-50 computers. The program includes a correction for instrument background, instrument dead time, absorption, fluorescence by continuum, characteristic fluorescence, and a correction for the atomic number effect. The computing is possible even when using a compound as standard. The sample may comprise at the most 10 elements. The program was employed for computing the compositions of silicate and metallurgical systems.
