Molybdenum electrodes employed in electric melting of glass are subject to intercrystalline corrosion by molten antimony, forming the readily fusible compound Mo₃Sb₇; this substance was determined in the corrosion channels of the electrodes by electron microprobe analysis and the DebyeScherrer X-ray diffraction method. |
