High temperature reactions in the system MgO-Fe₂O₃-NaPO₃ with a high content of MgO have been investigated. After annealing for 3 hr., the products of reactions were determined, using the quenchine technique and X-ray diffraction methods. Magnesium ferrite MgFe₂O₄ is produced by reaction in the solid state above 700 °C. The high temperature reaction between MgO and NaPO₃ in the absence of Fe₂O₃ occurs above 700 °C. |
