To systematically investigate the factors affecting the performance of permeable concrete on road surfaces, blocks with different porosity, particle sizes, water-to-cement ratios, and cement-to-aggregate ratios were prepared. Additionally, varying amounts of admixtures were added to some blocks to explore the influence of the admixture types and content on the performance of permeable concrete. The results indicate that the larger the particle size of the aggregate used in the block preparation, the higher the permeability coefficient of the blocks and the lower the compressive strength. The water-to-cement ratio affects the strength of the cement matrix, resulting in variations in the block strength. A higher cement-to-aggregate ratio leads to a lower porosity in the permeable concrete, a higher cement matrix content, a reduced permeability coefficient, and an increased compressive strength of the blocks. |
